Sunday Crafternoon: Kinusaiga Sunflower Workshop

Sunday 20th September
1pm-3pm
The Westbourne Cafe, Emsworth
£30

Join us for a relaxing Sunday Crafternoon and discover the beautiful Japanese art of Kinusaiga as we create a colourful sunflower design.

Kinusaiga is sometimes known as patchwork without sewing. Using pieces of fabric carefully tucked into a pre-cut design, you’ll gradually build up your own gorgeous, textured sunflower artwork with no sewing required!

In this step-by-step guided workshop, I’ll show you how to work with the fabric and create your design from start to finish. Whether you’re completely new to Kinusaiga or simply fancy spending a Sunday afternoon trying something different, you’ll be guided through the whole process.

No experience needed just come along, unwind and enjoy getting creative in a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

What to expect:

  • Gentle, friendly guidance throughout

  • All materials provided

  • Drinks and snacks available to purchase at the cafe

  • A relaxed Sunday afternoon to switch off and create

  • Your own finished Kinusaiga sunflower artwork to take home

By the end of the afternoon, you’ll leave with a beautiful handmade sunflower and that lovely feeling of having taken some time out for yourself.
