Young Artists Studio: Arts Award

Creativity is about more than making a good picture. It’s about experimenting, finding out what interests you, trying things that don’t quite work, developing your own ideas and gradually figuring out what kind of artist you want to be.

Our Young Artists Studio gives young people the chance to do exactly that while working towards their Bronze or Silver Arts Award.

Sessions are practical, relaxed and encouraging, with opportunities to explore different materials and techniques, discover artists and creative careers, experience and respond to art, develop personal projects and share their own skills. Along the way, students build a portfolio documenting their creative journey - without it turning into another enormous pile of schoolwork.
